It's been a while...

I realized today that I haven't posted anything in quite a while. That doesn't mean things haven't been busy. April was full of school finals and getting my students through the CRCT. Now that it's all over...I finally have some time to relax and get ready for Miss Georgia.

I had an appearance almost every weekend in April. Judging at the Miss Elbert County Middle School and the Miss Jackson County Pageants, making an appearance at home, singing at an event at my church and this past weekend, I appeared at the Madison County Relay for Life. To date this was probably one of my most favorite appearances. Not only was it laid back and casual, I had the chance to be around my students and the people that I work with. I had the opportunity to lead the opening lap with cancer survivors as well as entertain with a few songs. The event is even more special because of all the amazing support it gives to those suffering from cancer and those who have survived!

Salute to the Troops is up next and I'm looking forward to getting back together with so many of the incredible Miss GA girls :)
